Delete Your NextSet Account
Last updated: July 20, 2026
We respect your right to control your data. You can permanently delete your NextSet account and all associated personal data at any time using either of the methods below.
Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, your profile, workout history, plans, progress, badges, and personal records cannot be recovered. You can download a copy of your data from the app (Settings > Account & Data > Download My Data) before requesting deletion.
Option 1: Delete In the App
If you still have the NextSet app installed and can log in, this is the fastest method:
1
Open NextSet and go to Settings
Tap the gear icon or navigate to the Settings screen.
2
Tap Account & Data
Scroll down to the Account & Data section.
3
Tap Delete Account
You will be asked to confirm. Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot log in, you can request account deletion by email. Send your request from the email address associated with your NextSet account to:
Email: privacy@nextsettrainer.com
Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

- Records required by law or to resolve disputes
- Backup copies (roll off within 7 days as daily backups rotate)
Deletion Timeline
- In-app deletion: your data is deleted from our primary database immediately upon confirmation. Backup copies roll off within 7 days.
- Email requests: we will verify your identity and complete deletion within 30 days of receiving your request. Backup copies roll off within 7 days of primary deletion.
Third-Party Data
- Anthropic (AI provider): under Anthropic's commercial API terms, prompts and responses are retained on Anthropic's backend for up to 30 days and then deleted, and are not used to train AI models. If a prompt is flagged by Anthropic's automated trust and safety systems, the flagged inputs and outputs may be retained for up to 2 years, and the associated classification scores for up to 7 years.
- Sentry (crash reporting): crash reports contain device and diagnostic information only. They do not contain your profile, injury, or workout data. Sentry retains them per its standard retention policy (typically 90 days).
- Apple / Google (app stores): purchase and subscription records held by Apple or Google are governed by their respective privacy policies and are not affected by NextSet account deletion.
Important: Cancel Your Subscription Separately
Deleting your NextSet account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by NextSet. If you have an active paid subscription, you must cancel it separately to stop future charges.
How to cancel your subscription:
- Apple (iPhone/iPad): go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions, find NextSet, and tap Cancel. Or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- Google Play (Android): open the Google Play app > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, find NextSet, and tap Cancel.
